Eric A. Ponce is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering at MIT. His research focuses on power electronics, signal processing, and creating non-intrusive, internet connected sensors for retrofitting existing utility meters to enable cost-effective, real-time, and intelligent load monitoring. He is an Alfred P. Sloan scholar. Eric recieved a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Engineering in Electrical Engineering at MIT. He has been actively helping to create new introductory electrical engineering coursework for students of all ages and backgrounds in the STEM field in the hopes of diversifying and inspiring the next generation of electrical engineers.
